The Big Bear Film Society is the year-round film community in Big Bear Lake. It is for people who make films here, and for neighbors who love movies and want to be part of that world.
We gather around screenings, conversations, and the work itself. Members hear about nights first, meet the other people in town who shoot, write, act, edit, and show up, and have a place to land when a project or a question comes up.
Alta Fest is our October weekend. The Society is everything around it. It's the clubhouse that stays open after the credits.
Give Big Bear a real home for film, so talent on this mountain has somewhere to belong, and so the valley keeps a living film culture all year, not just one weekend.
